They have been at it for around seven years in total, so this latest project is something that isn’t new. They are led by the project’s lead modder, Gunoftruth, an automation engineer for their day job and a veteran modder for the Call of Duty games as a hobby. There are 11 modders in total that are working on the game at this time. The MW2 Remastered multiplayer mod was announced through Eurogamer, who interviewed the modern team in question who is making this surprising but amazing project happen. However, the Modern Warfare 2 Remastered multiplayer section isn’t an official one that Activision is releasing for players to check out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, but rather a modded online multiplayer game that a team of Call of Duty fans is making themselves.
